What if you have no web site ?
Up till now, the core products of League Master, League Master Online, Championship Leagues and Book Master have been separate systems that were designed to stand on their own or be linked to via an existing web site.
However, if you have no web site, there is no central site from which your members can see what the club offers and from which to direct them to services such as leagues and online court booking.
What you obviously need is your own web site, which for a simple site with just a few static pages, is something that can be created for relatively low cost. However, it doesn't take long before the idea of keeping the site up to date with information presents a number of issues, such as ongoing design costs and the fact that only someone with the right software and experience can make changes. Suddenly you are into a whole new ball game of time, effort and cost as a content management system, or CMS, is created for your site.
What if, for a fraction of the cost, all the features that would normally cost you £1000's to have created for you were available, and could be updated by anyone?
What if you already have a web site ?
Even with your own site, it is unlikely that you will have any of the features such as online leagues, court booking or true content management.
The simple solution is that using the Club Site Suite, you can create a mini-site to cover Tennis, for instance. The rest of your site remains the same, but all the interactive features that you need for Tennis are handled by the Club Site Suite!
How it works
Almost every aspect of the site can be edited from the administrative pages. Colours, logos, text, images and labels can all be set by the user, and even whole pages can be created and uploaded directly to the site. You decide on how many pages you want and how they will link together - just add them in and the system controls everything from navigation to inteligent menus.
Club Site Suite Options
The home page can have many links to other pages, including leagues, championships and news, but as a Basic Platform, each link is to a single page which does not allow further links.
The MultiSport Platform, however, allows any pages linked from the home page to have their own further links to other pages you may create.
For example, if you are a single sport club, then your home page can provide links to any pages you may create, or select depending upon your choice of options, and the Basic Platform might suffice.
However, if your club has a number of separate activities which you would like to group into subpages, then you will need the MultiSport platform. This allows you to add pages from the home page, each one able to link to any number of other pages. So you might create one area for squash, one for tennis etc. and each one can have it's own leagues, championships, news etc.
Box leagues, or 'round-robin' leagues as they are sometimes called, are the standard way in which many club sports leagues are run, including squash and racketball. They tend to be relatively small boxes of maybe 5 or 6 players where each person plays all of the others, but generally there are many boxes and the 'league period' is relatively short, maybe 4 or 5 weeks. At the end of this period, the results are calculated, winners and losers moved up or down and a new league printed out and begun.
Due to the complexities of handling the many rule options as well as the processing of results, with new players coming in and others dropping out, this requires the League Master Club League program, which is an application installed on a club computer.
The other common form of league is the county or championship league. This is commonly used for sports such as football or for county leagues for a variety of sports. Generally, championship leagues involve a larger number of players or teams and might only involve one 'season' during which each team plays each other team twice - a home and an away leg.
The calculation of ongoing positions within the league is relatively straightforward and can be handled via the Club web site and uses our Championship Leagues system.
Tournaments or 'knockout' competitions are also common events within clubs of all types and are characterised by an initial draw of 4, 8, 16, 32 or more players or teams which work down to a final winner.
News items can be entered onto the site with a wide range of display options, including viewing current and archived news.
Regardless of the number of courts, pitches or 'areas' that you may wish to book out, Book Master can handle them all. Book Master is a stand alone, web based court booking system that can be seemlessly integrated into the Club web site and is designed to allow for any time allocations as well as providing for payments, pre-allocation and email confirmations.
Members and players can subscribe to obtain the lastest information and be kept up to date with coming events and announcements. They can also be alerted when changes are made to their selected league or tournament results.
Much like news items, the Events Calendar enables you to display all coming events, with images and text as required.
Given the basic framework of a page on the web site, and a range of template options, a club can add it's own text and images to a page via the administrative pages, without any knowledge of web design or HTML. However, if you wish to get creative, you can create any page you like.
