Unable to send email after Exchange Server upgrade
If you have recently upgraded to Exchange Server 2003, you may find that you are no longer able to send email.
There are two mays to get round this.
In the SMTP Server field of User Email in Options, you may have entered the local IP address of your server. Find out what the SMTP server is of your service provider (smtp.freeserve.co.uk is an example) and enter that instead. This may raise firewall issues but should solve the problem.
On your server, go to Programs-Microsoft Exchange-System Manager. Expand Servers-<your server>-Protocols-SMTP, right-click on Default SMTP Virtual Server and select Properties.
